I'm tapped, I've nothing left. Any news on positions available would be very good about now.
UPDATE:
Hey folks, thank you very very much for the well wishes and advice. I'm stashing it away to ponder how to move forward. I'm hoping the information might also be helpful to anyone else in a similar struggling position.
Some good news, I received some money from my father which gives me some breathing room. It will make it easier for me to continue my job search without worrying about how I'm going to deal with another month of limited employment. So I'm out of immediate hotwater, but still looking.
Regarding current jobs/work: I have a few lines I've laid out and am waiting to hear back from. My friends continue to point me in the direction of job offers here and there. I cross my fingers for all of these.
Regarding commissions: I cannot take on too many of these at once. I get overwhelmed easily. I am juggling commissions along with two comics, a videogame project for which I'm the sole animator, and Flight Rising work. Every commission is a "job". I want to limit them to one or two at a time at most to avoid feeling like I'm skipping out on these other important (and longer term) projects. So if you poke me for a commission and I cannot do it immediately, I will message you when I can. I will not ask for payment until I'm certain I can get it done within two weeks.
For those currently waiting on commissions, I have them sketched out. They just need refinement. I'm very serious on giving out only quality work so if it takes a little longer, it's because I refuse to give you something subpar. I have not forgotten you. You're important enough that I won't take on more.
SUPER HUGE THANKS TO smogteeth for that youtube video she did drawing Corpse-Eater. That means a lot to me. You know I love seeing people make art, not just the art itself, so seeing the process behind making something for me is very very special. And clever. Anybody looking for raptor masks, go poke her. She's doing a new round of them. Un-do like me deals with a lot of financial hardship and you should totally check her stuff out and support her.
and Sarspax for the really nice journal and tumblr post you put up. I don't have the guts to self-promote heavily (or even talk about my patreon a lot) so someone going out of their way to make such a nice post about my work, it's amazing. I have a few new patrons as a result and it's radically awesome to see people willing to give me a little to show support for my personal projects. I'm doing my best to get it out in a timely fashion. But once its done, it'll be smooth sailing and no upload hiccups. just need to get the entire chapter done first.
Everyone is amazing. Continue to be amazing. Go share your amazing, please.

Lackadaisy KS Complete! Record Breaking Funding
So, the Kickstarter is over. I'm exhausted after a month of blitzing the hell out of this short, screaming all over Twitter (and everywhere else I have an audience) about it.
But it paid off

Over 330k earned with nearly 6k backers. We secured the "top funded short film" Kickstarter record, beating out the legendary "Hair Love" by 100k! (great short btw, go watch it).
We now have a year to complete a 15-18 minute project with these dollars secured. A lot of folks have contacted me asking about casting or becoming part of the crew, and rest assured I will an

Curious to know if you have an Artstation account? It has a really nice jobs section, and it's easy to find freelance work there (it updates pretty often too). Good for keeping a professional portfolio.
