Undead may advance to Half-Dead if they haven’t already

Preliminary Challenge

  • Who invited you and how did you get here?

Goals

  • Multi character interactions
  • Complex relationships
  • Setting changes

Prompts (Complete 4)

  • Moving from a lonely lifestyle and back into a social one is difficult. Now you’re not only concerned for your own well-being, but the needs of others. What kind of advantages or disadvantages come with social living? What kind of difficulties?
  • You face a difficult moral dilemma and all options run contrary to your morals. Who is most affected by this decision? How does your moral compass adjust?
  • You can’t get along with everyone, even in your own head. Inevitably you’ll find yourself in conflict with something or someone. Who is this antagonist? What struggle set off this rivalry, whether it be internal or external?
  • Social interaction increases the possibility of revealing your strengths and weaknesses. Maybe you’ve tried hiding these from others. How do these weaknesses hinder or help your relationships? And for how long can you hide these flaws before having to face them?
  • You face two characters [at minimum] belonging to an opposing group. Tension escalates and you find yourself unable to back down before an argument develops. What was the disagreement? Could you relieve tension? Why or why not?
  • Two characters [at minimum] within your own group require your skills for a very important task. Why do they consider you best suited for the job? How worthy did you prove yourself at the task?
  • What kind of physical, mental, or emotional crucible holds your character in conflict? While attempting to escape your crucible’s confines, why do you fail?
  • You’re trapped or otherwise forced to deal with someone you can’t stand. What is keeping you from walking away? How do you deal with the situation?
  • You discover one amongst your number is hiding an enemy. Will you persuade them to nix this new threat or help them keep their secret? What does this cost you?
  • Around the campfire (or dinner table, or TV or wherever you are forced to interact with other people) survivors enjoy exchanging stories about myths and legends about the world around them. What stories do you have to tell? What grips your interest?
  • You make me laugh.
  • And then we went drinking.
  • Fake it ‘til you make it, honey.
  • Maybe I shouldn't have eaten that…

At completion

Update your character sheet

  • Choose your role
  • Stay or change the group you live with or live alone.
  • Half-Deads: you may now progress to Uber Half-Dead
    • Eye color must be grey sclera with white irises and white pupils
    • May expand on pre-existing mutations
    • Must retain some human features
    • For winged zombies: powered flight allowed

Create your collective sheet

  • 3 maximum characters in your collective sheet
  • Characters in collective sheet must be your own creations developed during the Society stage.
  • Characters in collective sheet can skip immediately to Society Stage, if desired, and be used independently of your main character.
  • New characters not part of this collective sheet must complete Survival Stage

Characters switching from living to undead must start again at Survival.
