"Ezer, how could you have known? It's not your fault."

"It might as well have been."

Speedpaint in Photoshop. Playing around with illustration using a different kind of style I hit on last night. A scene from a project that's been gestating for a while (and which might be vaguely familiar to any who've seen "Spear", that OLLLLLLDDDDD "animatic" from years back).

For those wondering, Ezer is a Stresser, a kind of almagalm creature with bits of falconiforme thrown in, the origin of which is deeply tied to the story in question.

Yeah, of course I remember "Spear" - as I recall, you used a VAST song in it.... which coincidently became one of my favourite bands once I looked up more of their stuff. And when ever I listen to that album I always think of 'Spear'. It's amazing how influential that little animatic has been for me. :D

What a view! It almost feels like I'm standing on the hill with those bizarre characters looking down at the conflagration--there's a palpable sense of grief. The bright colors really jump out against the pretty night sky, too. Great stuff!

Wow that is some interesting anatomy on that fellow <:

Quite nicely done with the lighting -- I quite like the appearance to this, especially the painted effect and contrast. It's a neat-looking illustration -- I'd like to see more done like it :3

Oh Spear, I adored that haha --
